Now thats a mouth watering line up that I would love to see driving a 917, whats the occassion ?

Brain Redman's Targa 66. Gentalmen racers who rent the track for 3 days and have fun.
The 917 was the Martini 917 of Marko & Lennep. The car belongs the the Collier Museum in Naples,Fl and was just restored.
Restoration was done to the frame, engine/trani and suspension. The Original unrestored body was refitted with missing paint and broken body work.

Very nice. I always loved the silver Martini cars, although I must admit, I don't remember this one with the vertical tail fins, must fish out my 917 book and look it up, only problem is it's near the bottom of a BIG pile of books ! :(

Nice photos though Chuck.

See ya soon.

Assume that was at Daytona then, with Lake Lloyd in the back ground.

No, Palm Beach International Raceway, the old Moroso raceway. A local track in South Florid about 2 1/2 Hrs south and east of Sebring.

The fins are an LM body. The car was driven by Roger Mandaville, a IMSA GT Mazda driver from the 80s/90s.
The car was driven very slowly, a crime for such a fast car.

33 days?? Doesnt Sebring officially start as soon as we're standing in the field Tuesday night 3/16??

BTW - has anyone gotten an DUI on Weds AM between leaving the field and their arrival at Turn 10?? ;)

Chuck 8)

When you become a customer of this (private) electric company, you will get a one-time 50 euro discount for every gold medal Sven Kramer (speedskating) wins, so that is up to €200 ($270) ...

They call it 'svenergy' and is a really good marketing tool.
It is very common to get a discount up to 3/400 euro's just for becoming a customer, so the 50€/medal is not a big deal... but it gets so much attention :)
